Whether you’re having troubles with tantrums, issues at school, finding routines challenging, difficulty coping with being told ‘no’ or just need help with emotional regulation, our Multidisciplinary Behaviour Support Team can help!
Behaviour support is a huge part of the NDIS in NSW now that the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission is in place. This means that restrictive practices, which might include seat belt buckle covers in cars or locks on fridges, in certain circumstances, require a Behaviour Support Plan to help ensure that people with disabilities supported by the NDIS aren’t abused.

We have a team of three Behaviour Support Practitioners who work together to help develop a personalised Behaviour Support Plan and train the important people in your loved one’s life to support their behaviour positively. Any restrictive practices required are only implemented with the unanimous agreement of our team and external supervisor, before receiving the authority of FACS and the NDIS Commission, and ensuring that ethical fade-out strategies are in place so that people with disabilities are supported with their behaviour positively and aren’t abused.
